- The mission of Brazilian MAC is to get coffee that has been grown, roasted, and packaged in Brazil to our clients in the United States and beyond.
- As it stands today, when you buy or drink "Brazilian Coffee" in the USA, you are buying Brazilian coffee beans that have been shipped to the USA and then ground and roasted in the USA by US companies and/or US coffee shops.
- To us at Brazilian MAC, this is not "Brazilian Coffee" at all. In the Serra da Canastra, the Cerrado, and the Triângulo Mineiro, the three regions where we do most of our buying, there are "sitios" (small independent farms) that produce their own beans and grind and roast them there on site ready for sale and ready to drink. We buy and drink this coffee often and it is delicious.
- This kind of coffee – Brazilian coffee already ground and roasted and packaged – is not readily available in the USA. You may be able to find Brazilian brands like Pilão, or Três Corações, or Melitta in the USA, but these are generic and compete with run-of-the-mill US brands like Folgers. They in no way reflect the taste, flavor profile, structure, nor complexity of true roasted Brazilian coffee.
We at Brazilian MAC are uniquely situated to make Brazilian roasted coffee appear in bulk in the USA.
We are Americans and Brazilians, we speak both English and Portuguese, we live in the region, we know how to navigate the region, we contact the farmers personally, and we have the set up and the practical knowledge and skill to navigate the logistics at every stage between the farmers and their sitios and the coffee's destination in the USA.
